Description
Join us for a tour of all things Stormwater Management in Forest Park! The tour will feature stormwater systems of different ages including:
- the recently renovated Festival & Parking Plaza
- Bioretention areas in the south east corner of the park
- newly installed erosion control measures & stormwater inlets throughout Kennedy Forest & Government Drive
Transportation will abe available to shuttle the group around to the various sites. Stakeholders from many of the sites will be present to provide information about the landscapes, lessons learned and valuable insight about each of the projects, allowing us to get off the bus, stretch our legs and learn in these landscapes! The event will convene with a panel discussion about the areas visited and other relevant stormwater management topics in Forest Park.

The Shaw Series host informal events that bring people together to share experience and insight around 21st century issues such as community landscape planning and storm water mangement. Themes vary from municipal planning to public perceptions of native landscapes, developing successful landscape specifications, maintenace plans and more. All events require advanced registration. The Shaw Series is coordinated by the Missouri Botanical Garden's EarthWays Center and Shaw Nature Reserve staff.
